Now under the custodianship of the National Trust, visitors can explore the story of the ruins, dress up in the medieval costumes and wonder at reconstructed weapons such as the trebuchet on show near the castle gates.  

Thanks to the idilic landscape staging Corfe Castle, the grounds lend themselves to a variety of memorable walks with routes for all ages. The Corfe Common History Walk is popular, a gentle short 1.5 mile walk exploring the picturesque village of Corfe Castle with a range of wildlife to spot. Another popular route is The Purbeck Ridgeway which sees visitors enjoying vistas over Poole Harbour, Swanage and over the bay towards the Isle of Wight. Once the 9.5 mile walk has been complete enjoy a journey back to Corfe on Swanage Railway. 

Parking is free with a National Trust membership.
