Cornish Seal Sanctuary

Cornish Seal Sanctuary

Helston, Cornwall

During a visit to the sanctuary, the main attraction is the Convalescence Pool, which is home to the sanctuaries resident group of Grey Seals and seal pups. Each rescued from along the Cornish coastline, watch these marvelous creatures recuperate and learn the skills they will need to be released back into the wild.

There are numerous other animals to see during a visit to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary. Stop by Otter Creek and watch Apricot and Harris, a pair of Asian Short Clawed Otters splash about and play together, especially during feeding time. Or, head to Penguin Beach and marvel at the spectacular Humboldt Penguins and learn about the difficulties they are currently facing as fish stocks decline.

The Cornish Seal Sanctuary offers year round all weather entertainment, perfect for all members of the family. After a busy day exploring the sanctuary, let the kids run wild in the pirate play area.
