Cornwall Tourism Awards 2022/23 WINNERS!
We are thrilled to announce that two Best of British Holiday Parks won the top accolades at the Cornwall Tourism Awards recently!
Truro Cathedral was the venue for the 21st annual award ceremony, celebrating all that Cornwall has to offer for holiday makers while feasting on Cornish food and drink. 65 awards were presented in a variety of categories and we’re delighted that Polmanter Touring Park and Hendra Holiday Park won on the night.
First, Polmanter Touring Park took Gold in the Camping And Caravanning Park Of The Year category. The team are rightly proud of their achievements and are thrilled to have taken the top honour.
Polmanter has been run by the Osborne family for over 50 years. Their considerable experience, combined with the family’s love of camping, means they know what makes touring and camping holidays extra special. And this is why they won the Gold Award!
The park offers five star facilities, which include a stunning spot on the coast with views over the Atlantic and the Cornish moors, a variety of pitches and services, an outdoor heated pool (open from May to September), tennis courts, dog friendly facilities, a regular shuttle bus to St Ives and a shop selling Cornish produce. So, if you’d like to visit St Ives and the West Cornish coastline, Polmanter is highly recommended!
Additionally, Hendra Holiday Park in Newquay won Holiday Park Of The Year, and Chris North from the team won the Unsung Hero Award!
And to put the icing on the cake, Hendra won the Winner of Winners Award! The evening ended with a standing ovation for the park, who were recognised for their multiple successes over 50 years of operation.
Hendra have had quite the month as they also won the South West In Bloom Award, which celebrated the hard work of the grounds team, who keep the park looking beautiful all season long!
